This is Devan... He's a Senior a Southland.. I was such a joy to take his pictures. Even thou he is very and I mean very quite and serious.. I got him to laugh and he even smiled for me a couple of times. I meet and got to know Devan and his family several years ago when Devan would play baseball with Nate. He is an amazing young man and man is he into Ag. He and his family pretty much travel every weekend to a stock show so he can show his pigs. It was pretty neat to see and hear how much time he commits each day to these animals. And to see them interact with him. It was pretty neat. So last weekend I had the time of my life.... I went to Prom! :0 Well not my prom but Roosevelt's.... But I think I had as much fun as the Students did! lol.. It was nice getting to meet and talk to alot of the kids that I normally don't get a chance to talk to because usually the only time I see them is on some field...or a court... This time it was totally different.. And I loved every minute of it! Thank you to all of the Roosevelt students and parents for asking me to come be part of this special night!

Shattered Dreams

Well Slaton had the Shattered Dreams program monday and tuesday of this week. and well all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was amazing!!! kaylee was one of the living dead.. Even thou she wasn't in the wreck and all it was still very hard for me. Having to write an obit for her and all.. It was very hard. Plus all the emotions and everything that goes with it. But anyways Im not going to say much more on that because I will start crying. But anyway I took some pictures at the mock wreck they are on the website www.deniserudd.com look under Slaton sports... I know I know this once a sport.. but its the only place I could think of to put it since it was Slaton sorry. Even thou it was faux.. The pictures are very graphic and realistic.. So beware when you are looking.. I just want to say Thank you to EVERYONE that worked so hard to bring this SLATON and to everyone from the police, EMS, Fire department and everyone!!! Yall did fantastic!!! Im proud to be part of this town!

So I have been busy the last few days playing three weeks of catch up... And y you ask???? Well you know how people tell you to back up your work........ well thought I was doing that when I bought my external hard drive... You know thought it was going to be the best thing since chocolate cake.. I had 250GB or lets say ummm lik e MY WHOLE LIFE OF PICTURES.... Ummm yah... Well it CRASHED!!!! I thought I went crazy when my computer went down for the day...Well this was like MAJOR!!!!! I thought or well it was the worst thing that could happend... It was awful!!!!! But a nyways... We have an AWESOME guy that does all our computer work at the Foodbank!!! And well besides him being a major genius and lots and lots of prayers he brough my pictures back from lala land!!! woohoo!!! so I'm catching up!!! But anyways there are alot of new pictures up... some I even forgot I took.. That's pretty bad.. But here is one that I took after the Littlefield game. The girls were in their guys positions. So all this week I am at the FB all week.. Not alot of people know that I also work for South Plains Food Bank. That's my other love.. I help and serve the 21 counties that the Food Bank covers. I do alot of traveling to the many many counties and small towns visiting people that may need help with assistance. Whether it be Food, Medical, or just a person for them to unload all their troubles too and me try to help them find a way to get the help they need.. Well that's me.. I love it!! I have been in the social work field for many many years.. And well I tried to leave it once and well my life was just not right.. I had to come back.. And boy has God bless me with a wonderful job, wonderful people to work with, and well wonderful people that I get to meet on a daily basis...I have met so many many people, families that well are just down on their luck, homeless famlies and homeless Veterans that just nothing seems to go their way, to.... well the young pregnant teenage girl that has no where else to turn tooo. I can't say it enough.. It's wonderful... (Keeps me humble) Well this week I am at the FB in the office trying to fill the place of 4 very important people that decided to go on vacation.. (Yah they left me behind)(besides not know a thing about what they do) lol.... But anyways, I have had a little time since Im not out an about driving to play with some things and well yep you guess it BLOG.. So hope you like the new layout!! Hopefully since I will be behind a desk all week I can do a lil more inbetween... And here's my foodbank plug. We are always needing volunteers, donations of food, and school supplies. Ok well I will be stop talking.. I actually have a couple of pictures that I thought I would post on here from the FB that I took last year during the school supply drive...

This shoot above was the actually used to send out to all of the companys as a Thank you for their help and donations!! So that was pretty cool.... Do yall recognize this guy pulling the tote? Jackson taking a break Elijah and Michael and I think Jackson going thru gluesticks to make backpacks Jameson setting up for the day to give out 3800 backpacks full of school supplies. This year we are shooting for 4200!!

Slaton 13-14 year old Allstars

So last weekend we went to Odessa to the Regional Tournament for All-Stars..We got to be included in this because Nathan made All-stars.... It was an awesome weekend.. The boys amazed me all weekend playing the different teams. They did alot of growning up in those 3 days and well just being a TEAM and Family..(And not just thinking of themselves) it was Awesome.. It was also amazing to see all the extra people that made the road trip and spent time and money to see these boys play so many didn't have a son/grandson/nephew playing they just wanted to come and support the boys.. That was amazing.. It was just awesome to be a part of that... Thanks to all yall... But anyways all of the boys will be going to High School next month and I can't wait to see what they will accomplish in High School... Congrats Guys!! Yall worked hard.. We are so proud of each and everyone one of yall.

Oscar Solis Football Camp

Ok Parents!! If you have a son in the 5-8th grade and he is into football. You should send him to this camp!! It is going on this week at Tiger Stadium from 8:30 - 12:30 and next week in Lubbock. Please come out and support this former Tiger and Red Raider as he try's to help give back to our town!! The kids have a wonderful time learning and working out with the big guys that Oscar brings in! It's also neat to see the boys that are Slaton Tiger's right NOW in High School or just graduated that are student coaches helping out and giving back because they want to see the program succeed. That's some TIGER PRIDE!! Oscar's saying is "Empowering youth ON and OFF the field." And truly by watching what happens at the camp he truly is!! Here is Adam and Victoria! They are so sweet! Adam called the other day and asked if I would take their pictures because his girlfriend would be gone all summer visiting her mom so he wanted pictures before she left. With graduation and everything going on. We found an hour inbetween everything and got it done.. I could have easily said "Im sorry Adam but I have no time" but I just couldn't.. I made time! She is pregnant and is only 6 months along.. The last three months she has had tons of problems already.. She is in great jeopardy of having the baby early, she went to the doctor today and they admitted her...But anyways... Well me and Leslie finally got to go take her pictures last thursday because of schedules with her work and my crazy schedule too we had been having a hard time getting together for pictures but it finally happened!! It was FABULOUS!! We tried all new places and omg we went to her grandparents house.. OMG it is beautiful.. One of the neatest pictures that i love is of her on the swing.. Its the swing that she grew up playing on.. So it was neat adding a lil bit of history and her lil memories into the pictures for her and her family. Kaylee's Sweet 16

So I survived Kaylee's Sweet 16 party! Woo hoo!!! It was a crazy crazy 24 hours before the party from running around all over lubbock on friday then trying to make a slide show and crying every 5 minutes watching it, to making sure that we made it too 2 baseball games inbetween, and staying till 4am friday night making sure them 751 darn balloons were all in the right place, then calling my sister every 5 minutes because I forgot something. It turned out great!! She had a blast and well in a couple of days my baby will be officially 16.. boo hoo..

Thanks to all my friends and family or Kaylee's (princess to some) second families that helped me with decorations and and setting up to make this night wonderful.. I couldn't have done it with out yall!! And then we wonder why she is so spoiled.. lol.. It's yall's fault.. lol. jk.... We love yall!!!

Well just a couple of days behind on blogging.. But with everything thing going on.. I would have to say Im doing pretty good!! lol

This is Adam... Wow what an amazing kid. I hadn't really ever in my life talked to him until the day he asked me about pictures. And Im glad he did. He has an awesome outlook on life and just the neatest person.. With last week being so crazy I was taking every chance I could to slip in sessions any chance I had. lol.. So I told yall I would write more.... I finally got done with Eric's pictures. We went out on Sunday afternoon and took his pictures. Besides him I got to take a couple of family pictures and also a couple of pictures with him and his grandfather.. And yah this is his grandfathers SWEET ride.. OMG I had fun.. It was so cool getting to use the car in the pictures and all the different things we did with the car to get some good pictures. We went stayed down town for the most part but ended the session in Roosevelt at the ball field. Landon meet us there he and Eric took some pictures together. They were a hoot!! From parking the car on the baseball field to the last picture of them together it ended the already fun day on an ever better note!! I had a BLAST!! Thank you Missy for asking me to take them!!! You have an awesome Family and one heck of a son!!! (and his friend) lol...

This sweet baby is Jaxon and his sweet mommy Hillary!! She has been here in Slaton for the last couple of weeks visiting family in Slaton since she had cute lil Jaxon. I am proud to say she is the military serving are country. She is an amazing girl!! So very proud of her!! Can't say that enough! Poor lil Jaxon when I got there he had just decided to take a nap when I got there after being up all day. So he let us know we were on his terms and as you can tell at the end of the pictures he decided just to crash completely... It was to fun.. Steven (Hill's brother) was hilarious he helped me so much trying and trying to get Jaxon to smile. It was totally a team effort!! I enjoyed my time with them and getting to visit with Hillary again since it had been such a long time since I had seen or talked to her. It was wonderful!! Well Monday night I had the pleasure of taking AJ's pictures I have known AJ for several years I remember the first time meeting him was when a whole bunch of us went to Hallowed House(BBC Days) and he and a whole bunch of his friends went with us... My gosh the time has flown and I can't believe that I officially started Denise Rudd Photography a year ago after doing it silently for years and years.. All because of some pushy friends saying I needed tooo.. THANK YOU PUSHY FRIENDS I LOVE YALL!!! This has been one of the most amazing, wonderful, and AWESOME year of my life.. From getting to meet all the new people that I have, and the awesome kids that I have become friends with, to the people I have know forever, it has been amazing getting to be apart of thier lives even if it was for an just an hour, to give them something that I did for them that they will have the rest of thier life. Its been AWESOME.. Cant say that enough!! Well it all started with Leighann's Dance's Pictures last year... And well Thursday and Friday of last week that's what I did again.. Woohoo!! Those little girls are just tooo cute.. I can't put them all on here but I am going to share a couple of Miss Lane with you!! She is something.. In between each group.. she had her own little session..... she was tooo cute!!! =]

This sweet baby is Korey.. Hope im spelling her name right... We took pictures of her on Wednesday evening.. I had so much fun.. I had totally missed taking baby pictures.. Taking baby pictures is a very humbling experience because you are on their time (borrowed time) and they show you who is really in control of the session. lol.. She did a wonderful wonderful job for not having taken a nap all day. We really didn't get to take a whole lot of pictures like normal. In between the shoots she has to take a lil cat nap because poor baby she was so tired.. But she did so good with help of the whole family trying to get her to smile. She is so sweet and pretty!! So the next two blog's that Im about to write are going to be kinda hard. Hopefully I don't cry! =( I took pictures yesterday morning of Levi... If you don't know Levi which Im sure you do.. but if you don't your missing out! He is one of the sweetest 18 year old guys you will ever meet! I have taken pictures of him the last 4 years, just snap shots playing sports. I have tons of pictures from just last two years.. From the ambulance on the baseball field last year when he got hurt, to him laying on a stretcher this year when he got a concusion during a football season. ok ok their not all pictures of him hurt. I have tons of him smiling but then again he's always smiling! =] No matter what he's smiling =] Well with these pictures it is closing his, his mom's, and my photo album of his years in highschool. This is Symone, Arlena, and Angelica. I took thier pictures on Sunday afternoon!! I know I always say it but it was so much fun!! Each and ever time I take pictures and get to spend time with those people it is a BLAST!! But anyways these girls are all Seniors at SHS but they are also all cousins. I have know all the girls for a long time now and have been around them individually but it was neat doing the session with all of them together, because I was able to be apart of there special bond. All three of them are so different but then again they are so much the same.. They are just to cute! They /or should I say We laughed and laughed the whole time. It was GREAT!! Thanks girls!! Gosh I can't believe it!!

Miss Kaylee Allison "My Mija" will be turning 16 in May and I can't believe it.. Time has flown by... Makes me sad that her and Nate are growing up so fast!! :(

Well I had been needing to take pictures of her for her invitations. Because for some crazy reason we are throwing her a "Sweet 16" lol.. So for her invitations she wants her pictures on them. So I had some time yesterday and took a few and will have to go out today and do some more. She only wants to change a hundred times.. lol..

But it was so fun.. Kaylee if you don't know her she can be really shy "well until she gets to know you" but she loves to take pictures but as long as no one is driving by or watching.. lol.. So it was so funny being out her in Slaton taking pictures but if somebody drove by or anything she would run to the car because she didn't want anyone to see her. lol. It was hilarious.. They were suppose to be done outiside but we woke up and it was freezing and with having the lil ones we didn't want to risk them getting sick so instead we all meet at Al and Mary's house, moved furniture and started snapping. The kids did GREAT with having so many to try to make smile, look and just stay still!! It was hilarious.. At one point we even had Dora the Explorer in the pictures. lol.. Got to love her... But after it was all said and done we got all the pictures Mary wanted. AND I got treated to some HOMEMADE Tortillas (gosh I miss my grandma), and good good breakfast.... It was the Best!! Thank you Thank you!!!

Finally Im going to blog.. Sorry been very very busy..

This is Makenzie or some of us know him as Coach Mak from the "Oscar Solis Football Camp" that's where I meet Makenzie last year while he was giving of his time helping out Oscar at the camp. He is an amazing guy.. But then I got to meet his wonderful mom Tammy at the Foodbank when she comes and check on to make sure that we are all healthy there!! lol.. But last month I also go to meet Britt!! She is also an Amazing young women that has alot going for her.. I had so much fun taking their pictures. They are just so down to earth and so FUN!!! But what amazed me the most the relationship with each other but then with God.. These two truly have put God first in everything they do.. I want to wish them much luck and prayers with their future!!!!

Slaton TIGER Powerlifters

Another early morning Saturday for me. And I got to go out of town too... I went to go cheer on and take pictures of the Powerlifters!! There sport isn't really talked about a whole lot and who knew that Slaton had powerlifters!! But heck yah we do!! And they are pretty darn good!!! Out of 10 boys that went 5 of them got medals. 3 of those 5 being 1st places in their weight class!! And out of 15 teams all together they recieved 2nd place Team!! Way to go guys!!! All the guys did so very good!!! So let me be quite now and introduce you to the Slaton Tiger Powerlifters!!!

Well I finally got to go out of town.... And it wasn't for work or a game.. lol.. Brad's Aunt Johnnie had a surprise retirement party so we loaded up the car and took off.. But don't get tooo excited for me.. lol.. It was only for Saturday..=( We left at 6:00am and were back by 11:00pm.. But at least we got to actually go.. ALL of us!! Me, Brad, Kaylee, Nate, Jesse, and Jace!!! It was a long day but it was so worth it!! Brad and Nate pretty much spend every weekend there in November and December deer hunting but Kaylee and I had not actually been there in like 4 years. So it was nice going. But anyways... we got there in enough time to go eat breakfast at thier favorite (Red Wagon) and of course we couldn't go to brownwood with out checking on the lease.. lol.. So we went out there and made sure the feeders were working..lol.. And well checked the tank.. lol.. We finally made it to Johnnie's party, of course late because we had to wait on Kaylee to get dressed but we succeed on our plan and she was surprised!!! lol.. But yah.. It was nice to get away even if it was for the day..... But now I will share some pictures from the day..... O yah Thank you to the anonymous person who left me a comment!!! It so made my day yesterday!! =) Nate, Brad, Buddy (Brad's Brother) Dawn, Johnnie, and Joe Brad likes to give me a hard time about the pictures that I take with people walking away from me so.... Her mom called me Thursday nite and asked if we could get some pictures of her for her invitations that need to be going out for her Quinceanera in February so of course I was like sure!! Nathan SJH UIL One-Act Play

Im going thru pictures and since I have a lil bit of extra time and it's only 12:20 in the morning I figured I would blog these pictures of Nate and the rest of the awesome 8th graders.

They went to UIL competion in November and they did an amazing job.

Nate had the Lead Role and got a Medal for his performance along with Tanner and a couple of the other kids.

So... Way to Go Nate!! Im so very proud of you!!!

Rudd Grandchildren

Well this year Kaylee(my biggest critic, assistant, big ideas person, maker of more more work, and wonderful daughter) had well... A BIG idea to surprise her grandma with a picture of the Grandkids for Christmas. But this idea what inspired by a picture that was taken when well she was maybe 3 and Nathan was 2 maybe. She wanted everyone to be exactly in the same places they were in the picture. lol. And that would mean Nate (14 now) sitting on James (34 now) lap. lol.. Plus now that all the grandkids are alot older now they have their own families. And we didn't want to leave them out so..... She went to work secrectly getting ahold of everyone and telling them they had to do it for GRANDMA... and guess what they did!! She managed to talk everyone into it It was hard but it turn out good.. And Nelda was very surprised. So let me introduce you to the Rudd Grand and Great-Grandchildren. I just love them!!
